Panathenaic Stadium — The Kallimarmaro
There are places that do not simply host events. Places that become the event.
The Panathenaic Stadium — the Kallimarmaro — is one such place. Nestled in the heart of Athens, carved from white Attic marble that has absorbed centuries of history, this extraordinary monument of world heritage is not merely a venue — it is a living symbol.
Here, in 1896, humanity’s dream of peace, excellence and unity was reborn through the Olympic Games. Here, athleticism was elevated to the height of art. Here, past and present speak the same language.
As you walk upon its grounds, you feel the weight — and the joy — of that legacy. Its stands remember the roar of thousands of souls. Its marble gleams like a memory that refuses to fade.
There are moments in life that deserve an extraordinary setting. Tonight, this timeless monument becomes the backdrop for our own.
Athens Conservatoire
Founded in 1871, the Athens Conservatoire is the oldest and most prestigious performing arts institution in modern Greece — a place where music, theatre, and dance have flourished under one roof for over 150 years. Its halls shaped the careers of artists who went on to conquer the world’s greatest stages: Maria Callas, Mikis Theodorakis. Its Drama School, the first organised drama school in modern Greece, collaborates with leading international academies from Berlin to London, staging productions across the globe and uniting cultures through the universal language of theatre. Its Dance School, one of the few officially accredited institutions in Greece for higher education in dance, nurtures the next generation of dancers and choreographers through a rigorous curriculum spanning classical ballet to contemporary dance. Its Centre for Research, Publishing & Archives safeguards Greece’s musical and theatrical memory, driving landmark scholarly publications and preserving the archives of the country’s most significant composers. Today, housed in an iconic Bauhaus-inspired building at the very heart of Athens — officially designated a Modern Architectural Monument — the Conservatoire remains what it has always been: a living, breathing home of artistic excellence and cultural legacy.
Arsakeio Psychikou
Some institutions simply educate. Others shape generations.
The Arsakeio of Psychiko is one of the rare few that do both — with grace, vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence that has endured for nearly a century.
Founded on a sweeping 60-acre estate in Paleo Psychiko, its story began in 1927, when the Filekpaideftiki Etaireia — one of Greece’s most distinguished educational societies — chose this land to build something truly worthy of the future. By 1933, the complex rose to life, designed by architects Andreas Kriezis and Anastasios Metaxas, its architecture a confident statement of purpose and permanence.
What stands here today is far more than a school. It is a living institution — a world of learning that encompasses every stage of a child’s journey, from the earliest years of the kindergarten nestled among trees, to the richly equipped classrooms, laboratories, and cultural spaces of its senior schools. A landmark library, with roots stretching back to 1862, bridges the written heritage of the past with the digital tools of the present. Two remarkable museums — the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Analogue Technology — transform curiosity into discovery. The theatre, the sports facilities, the archives, and the sacred Church of Saint Anastasia, all speak of a community that believes education is not a transaction, but a calling.
